This course is 3.5 days duration and is a pre-requisite for Module 3- LSAR, LORA Course and the MRD Course.  It is strongly recommended that this course be attended first so students gain the fundamentals of ILS before attending the more complex courses, although students who believe they have the prerequisite skills and knowledge may elect to go straight to the later courses.

Persons who have completed Module 1 should have had at least four weeks back in the work place to employ their new skills and prepare for the subsequent training. Students who have undertaken this module and then go directly onto one of the following Modules, tend not to gain the most from the subsequent course.
