Soon we will be releasing all our applications (eMRD, eLORA and eMRD Companion) as V3.2. The main reasons for this mass release are:
- Recompiling of our code base in Visual Studio 2012
- Better compatibility with SQL Server 2008 (however, still backward compatible to SQL Server 2005)
- New reports generator
- New application packaging (Install Shield)
- Revised license management – although users won’t notice anything different
If you are a user that uses more than one of our applications, these new releases will need to be installed together and at the same time.
These releases also give us the opportunity to apply outstanding enhancements and bugs. So here are the details application by application.
UPDATE – 17 Jan 14
Applications are in final testing and should be released before COB 24 Jan 14.
Upon installing the V3.2 applications you will notice big changes in the installation directory. Only application files, dlls and license files will now reside in the installation directory. All other supporting files such as database blanks etc will now be stored in the Program Data directory (typically: “C:\ProgramData\LES Tools”) – NOTE: Program Data is normally a hidden folder. The reason we have done this is to comply with Microsoft Best Practice.
